WEEK 2 !! 8/25/2021

 Здраво Вие !!

 

This week has been so good !! It’s crazy to think that I’ve only been a missionary for 10 days, but also that it’s already been 10 days haha. All the days seem to run together now, except maybe Sunday.

Some exciting news !! Macedonia has a veryyy slow government and a huge bureaucracy to slow its efficiency even more:)))) soooo it takes forever to get visas. I was ahead of my district in the visa process since I had received and sent back step 2 (which only took a dandy 4 months for me) the week before I started the MTC. Welllll, this week while we were on a district meeting, one of the Старешина got a call from our visa person at church headquarters saying that his step 2 was on the way. Then within that hour, the other 2 people in my district got a call from church headquarters saying the same thing !!! SO there is a very small chance none of us have to get reassigned since it’s starting to move along (although that’s doubtful because I think everyone for the past 2 years has had to visa wait, so we shall see).

Nothing too crazy happened this week  (which is pretty nice since I just sit at the same desk for 12+ hours a day :))) BUT, it has been so full of learning about the Savior !! Next week I start all Macedonian training, so my time in class will be a lot more focused on the language, so for now, I’m just enjoying learning about the gospel.

While both of mine and Сестра Chamberlain’s lessons got canceled again this week (the lovely joys of being trained virtually), I still loved being able to prepare to teach. There are so many important truths in Jesus Christ’s gospel, and I love being able to share them and am excited to EVENTUALLY be able to teach someone an actual lesson someday. This week we studied a lot about what it means to have a loving Heavenly Father. It was so cool for me to reflect on everything Heavenly Father has given us because He loves us: prayer, literally the world !!, Jesus Christ (the only way we can find happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come), the Book of Mormon (which by the way just got finished being translated into Macedonian !!!), prophets, the Holy Ghost, our bodies, the ability to choose, and so much more !!

I know that Heavenly Father loves all of us and that this gospel is His work ! Till next week !!

-This week my district decided we all really wanted to be in the MTC together so we all took a screen shot of my comps background to prank our teacher. (if you look close you can see Сестра Chamberlain in the mirror of all the pics hahah).

-Everyday I try to memorize 30 words, so here’s a couple of words/phrases/scriptures that I’ve been working on so y’all can see what Македонски looks like and that it’s not in fact just made up lol

  zdravo !!! This has been yet another wild week. I've been up in Skopje, the capital, for most of the week actually with zone conference and different meetings up here and for a zone pday. Eee November 7, 2022

  Zdravo !! This week we went to Albania for zone conference ! We had kinda a crazy time getting there and back because we realized right as we were leaving that my international driving had expired with my residency card that I just had renewed. Sooo that was an adventure but we made it eventually.  Featuring Sis Ch and I as the only sister's in our zone:((( Then this beautiful sunset on the way back featuring Ohrid Lake !! Then the car troubles continued this week... Gradska Zena August 15, 2022

  Dobar den yall  Well I am officially a city girl and I love being in Skopje!! I've never lived in a big city like this before and it's so fun. Everyday is kinda crazy and hectic but it's a party and I love it.  Here's some city views from runs Sister Jo and I have done this week.  My second Sister Jensen comp hahah although she usually wears a Sister Jo tag so it's not confusing. Turkish food ! Also Turkish icecream which was hecka funny.
