Sharknado minus the sharks and in kentucky🥳🤡🌪🦈🤠🐄 December 16, 2021
Howdy zdravo and hello
Welcome to my kooky Kentucky kristmas:))
This week has been WILD!! That tornado I'm guessing yall have heard about did in fact touch down near me, ruining cities 20 minutes from me in all directions. Miraculously the nado skirted our little town and we were spared. Miracle 2, somehow none of the missionaries were affected too drastically by the massive tornado, despite it tearing through numerous towns of missionaries. Miracle 3, tornados may just be one of my biggest fears and I literally slept through the storm?? Like sirens and all which is a bless because I would have flipped if I woke up to hear all that (maybe a bad thing tho if the storm had actually gotten us ahah). Anyways not to make light of it at all because there was a lot of death and loss of homes and businesses, I just feel blessed to be okay.
Not going to lie I was terrified to be stuck in a little town in the boonies. We barely have 2000 people and definitely no stores or even a Walmart, and we are the furthest sisters from the mission home. They had never had sisters in this area before last transfer so I was terrified, but I have never felt more joy then being here in the middle of no where. I am truly in the backwoods of Kentucky, but I am consistently reminded how much God loves ALL his children and is so aware of them. He invites ALL to come and partake of his goodness, and I love being able to share the JOY of the gospel with everyone!!!!
Some fun things🤪🤠🥳
-I have been introduced as hermana this week more times than I can count (we are pretty much in a Spanish area and my comp speaks Spanish and at least half or more of our lessons are in Spanish. I pretty much just smile and nod my head and poorly try to read a couple things in Spanish and introduce myself. It is muy dificil porque I can understand a lot of what they're saying but when I think of anything in return it's only Macedonian that comes to my head... but honestly bless my comp her Spanish is amazing!!!!
-i have a new trainer named Hermana Turville and she is amazing!! She's getting yeeted off to Chile super soon (to my dad's mission in Concepcion!!) So I may be getting another trainer ahaha
-we got locked out of our apartment and car on sunday ahaha but we made good friends with our neighbors and even went back and dropped off a Book of Mormon!
-we put 4 people on date to be baptized this week when they previously had none in this area🥳
-we had a mission wide Christmas conference that was AMAZING!! we got to head down to Nashville this week for it and it was a blast
-I'm in the same district as Сестра Chamberlain!!!! It's so fun even tho she's 45 minutes away from us :((
Anyways sorry for the longest email of my life but I love yall and God loves you!!
