here are my rocks... May 11, 2022
Zdravoooo kako ste ?!
Welcome back to the less than exciting account of me trying to remember what happened between now and a week ago:))
This week has been a doozie can't lie. Missionary work is hard. Being in an area that people don't want to listen is hard. Waiting to potentially but also maybe not go to another country is hard (especially when you've been told you almost have your visa like 5 times and then don't actually have it) . Learning a language is hard. Not using the said language when I've worked so hard to learn it is hard. Being away from family is hard. Life is hard. BUT this week we decided we didn't care how hard it got, we were going to CHOOSE to have faith that God can make weak things strong.
I love the story of the brother of Jared when he decides he's going to take rocks to God so that they can have light while they traveled. Literally how pointless does that sound, rocks?! But yet the Lord loved his effort so much so that he not only made the rocks glow and give off light but he let the brother of Jared see him!!
So this week we took our rocks to God. I know my efforts are small, practically nothing especially compared to the work that needs to be done. My talents seem unproductive and seemingly not present and most of the time like a pile of useless rocks. BUT I can show God that I love him and will do whatever he asks me to do. We have WORKED and prayed and expected some miracles to occur and we saw some pretty amazing things yesterday. After 2 potentially new families canceled on us last night, we started teaching our new friends the Racanelli family. Please keep them in your prayers, the dad and daughter, Vincent and Talia, are so especially prepared but the mom is a little more hesitant. We know there are miracles and people ready here in Spring Hill and it is a blessing to start to see some fruits of that.
This is truly the greatest thing I have ever done in my life. And it's even better to know it doesn't end here. Please pray for the missionary work in your own areas. Pray for the peoples hearts to be softened. Pray to know what of your friends need the message of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for your missionaries by name and ask the names of their investigators to pray for. Join the missionaries in lessons, have the missionaries in your homes. This is the greatest work, and it is your work too.
Со многу љубов,
Сестра Џенсен
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk now enjoy some pictures
Bunnies are EVERYWHERE here, we've had some torrential downpours, cute historic juice bar we're neighbors with, insane yard art in the elders area, lots of selfies, and Jesus is King always
