 zdravo !!!

This has been yet another wild week. I've been up in Skopje, the capital, for most of the week actually with zone conference and different meetings up here and for a zone pday. Anywho this email is going to be more of a picture book so enjoy because I have literally 1000000 pictures and wanted to share them with the class:
last pday we went to Sveti Jovan which is a mega famous church in Macedonia. It's right in Ohrid and is najubavo!!!!

here's a cute little illegal pic of the inside. Way smaller than I thought it would be tbh.
now onto the delicious food from this week..... huge announcement... I ate tomatoes and I didn't die from my utter disdain. All the produce is insanely delicious here and they were actually fine.

here's shopska salad (onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and this cheese that is kinda like feta but not and more salty LITERALLY MY FAV THING). it's sooooo good and I've already had it twice this week because it's my favorite.

burek!! it's like a phyllo pastry with ricotta cheese and it's insanely delicious

our pday excursion today was SO DOPE!!! We went to Matka with our whole zone and mission president and it was insane. We went on this boat ride and then into this giant cave that's apparently the oldest and deepest in Europe where people go scuba diving. anywho enjoy these pics now:

So it won't let me add anymore pictures which is a tazen den ama if I could I would show you all the pretty pictures of Skopje because I'm obsessed with it.... anywho some other time.
Now besides all these beautiful pictures of this beautiful place, this week has been good. Hard, but good. It's disappointing to realize that I only have 8 months left here and this language feels impossible. We did the math and we are literally in the 99.99985 percentile of people in the world who speak Macedonian (which technically I don't belong in yet but maybe one day ahaha) and it feels so daunting. BUT here are some happy wins:
-I bore my testimony in church and didn't struggle for words
-I understood enough of our lesson with Goce (who is a very old man that is impossible to understand) that I could at least contribute something
-I can now pay for my own things at the store and understand what they're saying to me.
I am so grateful for a heavenly father who trusts me enough to be here. I know he is helping to strengthen me and give me the words I need to say, even if they are few and far between and with terrible grammar ahaha. I love you all!!
So ljubov,
Sestra Jensen
