 zdravooo na site

Sorry for the lack of email last week, I know everyone missed me bunches:)))
These last few weeks have been absolutely some of the craziest and by far most challenging weeks on my mission. Because of a few sad events and some unrelated timing, there are only 5 missionaries left in Macedonia, and two sisters. I never thought that this would be how my mission would play out but here I am, in former yugoslavia now with even less missionaries then we started with.
BUT don't worry there has still been lots of good stuff.
This is a picture from last weekend with our mission leader Sister Burdon, me, Vera, and Sister Jo. It was such a sweet visit. I love Vera so much and she is making remarkable progress since her stroke.

good news is they believe in hot sauce in Albania (had a quick trip there last week and are going back next week... kinda wild to just cross borders so much)

classic pics in skopje !! I love it so much. And it's probably a good thing because we got transfer news that Sister Chamberlain and I will be the only missionaries in Skopje for at least 2 months. Now while this might not sound crazy to yall, when we got here there were 8 missionaries (one of them being a senior couple) and now it is just us with alllll of those responsibilities. It means we have to not only somehow combine 3 areas, but we have to help all the members and do all the translating in church and make it all run smoothly. If I'm not mistaken, I believe this is the first time there will be only sisters in Skopje ever. Tbh not sure if there are many places around the world that leave the capital city to one set of missionaries, but I guess we will just learn to rely even more on the Lord.

Somehow despite the pressure of many many responsibilities adding up and the reality of our trainers being gone after 3 months (the lack of language ability do be setting in), I have still found immense peace this week. While I have not gotten to watch all of general conference #europeantimezonelife, I am so grateful for the opportunity to have heard guidance from ordained witnesses of God. I have quite literally never felt more inadequate for anything in my life, and I am still 100% unsure of how to handle everything that needs to happen here while also still being a missionary and doing "normal" missionary work. BUT I do know that this is Jesus Christ's church and I am a representative of him. I know there is a living prophet today to guide us and that God continues to give guidance to us because he loves us. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and because of that, he can help me every single place that I lack. Even if I don't know Macedonian perfectly (or hardly at all. in fact I think I would describe my knowledge as knowing some Macedonian words but no Macedonian), he does. Even if I don't know how to find his children here who are ready for the gospel, he does. Even if I don't know how to help the members keep their faith, he does. And if he can help this nearly forgotten, tiny country in Eastern Europe, he can help you.
Со љубов,
Сестра Џени
the reason for my email title... a particularly hard day, in fact our first day with just the 5 of us, and the elders made me take a picture by this. In other words, i am now referred to as gyro on occasion
