Merry Christmas and a Happy New years to yall !!

Since Thanksgiving is officially over, Christmas is in full swing for us here (and tbh has been since October). The only weird thing is Christmas is January 7th here so it's still super early to be decorating and stuff... But that didn't stop us from decorating the church and our apartment:)
Anywho on Thanksgiving we went and did service at a special needs home. It was so fun! I led a watercolor painting, we sang Christmas songs, and we made hand turkeys and talked about Thanksgiving! Then we went to our branch presidents after for Thanksgiving dinner.
Our mission has been running a Book of Mormon ad that has been pretty successful meaning we have been going every which way across Skopje and in neighboring villages trying to get them all delivered and have lessons with the people. Unfortunately addresses are terrible here and street signs don't exist and Google maps doesn't cooperate🙃 and then if we get lost and try and call they start just giving us random landmarks that of course make no sense to me because we are usually in a part of town I'm not familiar with. BUT even with all that craziness, it has been so wonderful having so many opportunities to teach and testify of the power of the Book of Mormon.
I have always loved reading the Book of Mormon, since I was a wee lad. But I didn't truly understand the power of it then. This week in institute we were talking about scripture study and this verse was so powerful to me!
24 And I said unto them that it was the word of God; and whoso would hearken unto the word of God, and would hold fast unto it, they would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away to destruction.
How special of a promise is that!? So read your scriptures EVERY DAY ! There have been times in my life honestly filled with a lot of doubt, and every single one of those days I chose to read the Book of Mormon because when I was 11 I promised myself I would never miss a day. Now most of those time periods in my life were still filled with questions and doubt and I didn't feel the spirit when I read the scriptures. But I chose to keep doing it until I could feel the spirit again and until I could find answers to my questions. Somehow I knew that it would bring me spiritual safety to read the Book of Mormon even if I did not yet understand it. It did, and I promise it will for you.
So ljubov,
Sestra Jeni
