 dobra vecer:)

sorry for the lack of email last week, honestly it has just been a couple of hard weeks:)
so Skopje is one of the most polluted cities in Europe, like goes back and forth every couple of years to being the most polluted. And at the beginning of the month the smog was bad.....

and because we live in a super Orthodox place, they follow the Orthodox calendar. So 2 weeks after you all celebrated Christmas and New Years, they were celebrated again here. Sister Chamberlain and I had the opportunity to go to an Orthodox liturgy for Orthodox Christmas and it was wild. This is the main orthodox church for Macedonia

and today for pday we went to a handpainted mosque in Tetovo that I had been to before but was still way cool

and would it even be a normal missionary week if we for some reason didn't make the 6 hour drive to Albania? Probably not... so of course we ended up there somehow again... this time for a leadership meeting and it was fabulous. here's a beautiful picture of the sunrise one morning there

anyways, the last few weeks I have just been put into situations that are so so so beyond my capabilities to handle. In just a few short weeks I'll be returning home and looking back on my mission, it would be easy to think that there is not much I have accomplished. I still can't speak this language (the members of our branch our so so patient with me translating every week, bless their souls), I don't know how to help our very struggling members and they just seem to keep being in situations that are well over my head, our friends struggle to keep commitments or keep their desire to meet, and on and on. But I've been studying a lot about weaknesses this week and I've just realized how wonderful it is that God gives them to us. he GIVES them to us?! He knows exactly what he is doing and he knows how to have us overcome them so we can become strong.
Fools mock, but they shall mourn; and my grace is sufficient for the meek, that they shall take no advantage of your weakness; And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
I know his grace is sufficient, even when it feels impossible.
So ljubov,
Sestra Jeni
ps as always plz pray for the missionaries waiting on their visas, we need them so so so bad.
