Tennesse to Macedonia to Serve

  Здраво !! (kinda interesting but in Macedonian hello essentially means "to health !") Well I officially have another week down and I'm starting to realize how soon I'll be leaving for field. Funny story about that :))) Yesterday Сестра Чембрлен and I both received our flight plans !! BUT they were in fact not to Nashville, or Macedonia and were instead to Denver leaving a week earlier than we had expected aha so that was interesting. During our comp study, we decided we should probably figure out what the heck happened because it was giving us all this information for the Denver South mission like we had been assigned to serve there. SO after I lost the rock paper scissors battle, I called church travel in Salt Lake and after a lovely 20 minutes on the phone, my new friend Rebecca figured out that it was not in fact just my comp and I that had received these incorrect travel plans, but also all the missionaries that were supposed to be heading out to Nashville with ...

  Здраво вие ! да, y'all read that right, I am in week 6 ! Kinda wild. Which actually isn't even as far as it sounds, because I have all of this week and then 3 more weeks in the MTC. Then I have an extra week before I get to leave for Nashville sooo pretty much I still have over a month left, but that's okay. This is the week when most foreign missionaries are finishing and heading out to their assignments, but lucky me I get to vibe on zoom for a whole more month:))))) I'm starting to get just a little bit tired of it, so if y'all so desire, send me some missionary appropriate memes to get me through this next month.   hey hey hey ! Today I have officially been set apart as a missionary for a whole month !! It's crazy to think about and honestly it doesn't feel like it's actually been that long. I think tomorrow marks my halfway point in the MTC which is also wild (except I'll end up being at home for an extra week since transfers in Nashville are a week off from my original assignment, so that should be interesting). And let me just tell y'all, this has been the best and most spiritual month of my life. I don't think I've ever spent more time sitting in one spot (gotta love zoom:) ) and had so many different and important experiences.  In more exciting news, Сестра Chamberlain and I got to teach our first lesson in Macedonian!! I was so scared and it was so hard, but SO GOOD. We had 20 minutes to teach, and we were both super nervous about speaking the language so we had pretty much written up a whole script in Macedonian so we could say what we wanted to.   HOWDY Y'ALL First things first, so y'all don't have to be so confused by my subject line: I GOT MY REASSIGNMENT TO THE TENNESSEE NASHVILLE MISSION! SO, now I can actually and officially say y'all (which technically I feel like is proper English since we don't actually have a form of you that's plural, but maybe I've just been hung up on that since I've been doing a BUNCH of conjugating verbs in Macedonian this week). Anywho, I am so excited to serve and know that the Lord has called me to where he needs me to be, whether it be for one transfer or two or my whole mission (probably not though because hopefully my visa comes soon).   Hey hey hey !!!   This week was SO good ! I know, kinda hard to believe when I am just sitting in my house, at my desk, on zoom from 7:30am-8 pm, but I am still somehow loving the MTC. Only 6.5/7ish weeks to go !   For all of you concerned hah,  Сестра  Chamberlain and I finally did get to teach a person this week so that was exciting ! It was definitely a little more challenging than I expected (although my teachers said it wasn’t supposed to be as difficult as they made it since they’re just for practice) BUT it was so good and I loved being able to explain a little bit more about the reality of our Heavenly Father. We have another lesson tomorrow, so hopefully that one doesn’t get canceled like our several previous ones have been hahah.   The language is coming, slowly but surely, and TONIGHT is our first class all in Macedonian.   Здраво Вие !!   This week has been so good !! It’s crazy to think that I’ve only been a missionary for 10 days, but also that it’s already been 10 days haha. All the days seem to run together now, except maybe Sunday.   Some exciting news !! Macedonia has a veryyy slow government and a huge bureaucracy to slow its efficiency even more:)))) soooo it takes forever to get visas. I was ahead of my district in the visa process since I had received and sent back step 2 (which only took a dandy 4 months for me) the week before I started the MTC. Welllll, this week while we were on a district meeting, one of the  Старешина  got a call from our visa person at church headquarters saying that his step 2 was on the way. Then within that hour, the other 2 people in my district got a call from church headquarters saying the same thing !!! SO there is a very small chance none of us have to get reassigned since it’s starting to move along (although that’s doubtful because I t...

  Hey everyone !!   I left Utah last Wednesday and after only a 4.5 hour delay hah, my flight finally made it to AZ! I finished my finals for summer term on Friday and then on Sunday I was set apart as a missionary, so it’s been a little bit crazy trying to get ready. But it was all so worth it! There is a special spirit that comes from being set apart as a representative of Jesus Christ and I feel so honored to where His name every day on a name. It’s only been 2 days, not including my p-day today, and it is just an overall 11/10.   I was super nervous to start my classes because everyone had told me that they jump right into the language and try to start the immersion process. Well lucky for me, when you’re in the MTC for 9 weeks, they don’t start full immersion until the middle of the 3rd week. So for now, they just throw in a couple of words here and there and then we meet with one of our teachers every day for a tutoring session. Also funny story about being nervous ...
